"Bellview", Well Watered, Well Improved, Well Located Breeder Country

“Bellview” is an exceptionally well-watered breeding property that has undergone a significant improvement plan over the past four and a half years. Located on Narbethong Road, it is conveniently positioned 95 km from Blackall, 42 km from Jericho, and 79 km from Barcaldine.

The property comprises approximately 15,393.44 hectares (38,021.18 acres) of leasehold grazing country. The land features red loamy soils and native timber species including Broad Leaf Iron Bark, Bloodwood, Lancewood, Box, Yellow Jacket, Cypress, and Wattle.

Fencing is well established, dividing the property into 11 paddocks with 4 holding paddocks situated near the homestead and yards. A laneway of about 4.5 kilometres facilitates easy mustering to the yards. The fencing mainly consists of steel posts and four barbs, with approximately 26 km of new fencing completed in recent years.

Water resources are abundant, with three bores equipped with electric submersible and solar-powered pressure pumps. Water is distributed through a network of eight tanks connected by predominantly 50 mm piping, servicing 17 troughs. Additionally, there is a fenced dam with a solar-powered pump, tank, and trough. All watering points are enhanced with new watering squares and spear traps to aid in management.

The property is estimated to support 600 breeders with progeny up to weaning. The predominant grasses include Buffel, desert Mitchell, spinifex, spear grass, and urochloa. A substantial legume establishment program has been undertaken, with good areas of Secca and Win Cassia present.

Improvements include a two-bedroom, air-conditioned timber home with a new roof, set within a fenced garden. There is a two-bay car shed with a workshop, a six-bay storage and machinery shed, and fixed and panel steel cattle yards complete with a covered vet crush and calf cradle areas.
